Yayoi Kusama Instameet at the Hirshhorn with IGDC

IGDC was honored to receive a request to collaborate with the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden on an instameet for a small group of participants to see the amazing Yayoi Kusama: Infinity Mirrors.

The city is buzzing over this exhibition and with good reason: it’s interactive, colorful, unique and beautiful. And it’s perfect for our Instagram obsession! With the understanding that this would be a high-demand event, we asked the IGDC community to post and tag their photos of patterns to enter for their chance to attend. And post you did! We had over 600 entries after 3 days.

The event was such a wonderful experience for us. We were like kids in a candy shop and our smiles never left our face. We had the best time and we hope the photos encourage you to visit the exhibition before it closes on May 14. Advanced tickets are released every Monday at noon here: http://hirshhorn.si.edu/kusama/passes/
