Everyone is welcome. Come shoot with us.

Founded in 2011, IGDC encourages local photographers to pick up their cameras and explore the DMV. Through Instameets, photowalks, brand collaborations and daily features, we put community first and celebrate our city and the people in it.

Tag your photos #igdc for a chance to be featured on @igdc.

Founder

Holly Garner

As a photographer in 2011, Holly noticed DC had no established Instagram community. So she started one, with an open invitation for local photographers to get out, take pictures and share them.

A museum professional by day, she knows how much creative inspiration matters. IGDC brings photography to everyone through Instameets and photowalks in and around DC, where people can practice and explore. Finding new places, meeting new people, and seeing new perspectives is what she does on her days off.
