Through instameets, photowalks, brand collaborations and daily features, IGDC believes in community first and in celebrating our great city and its citizens through sharing photography on Instagram.

Holly Garner
As a photographer in 2011, Holly recognized the lack of an established Instagram community in Washington, DC. With IGDC, she set sights on creating a community by putting out an open invitation for local photographers to get out and take pictures to share on social media. As a museum professional, she recognizes the importance of creative inspiration and execution. With the influence of social media, IGDC serves to serves to bring photography to the masses by arranging instameets, photowalks in and around DC where people can practice their photography and explore their creativity. Finding new places, meeting new people, seeing and sharing new perspectives is what she does on her days off.
