Celebrating Black History Month in DC

To celebrate our collaboration with Instagram on their Make Your Map project, IGDC organized an instameet using the map created to honor Black History Month.  We were thrilled to work with the community to provide photographs for the map and have our city’s talent showcased for such an important event.  During the instameet we visited several sites on the map plus a few additional places rich in historical significance, such as the Carter G. Woodson memorial and local murals.

Gravity won, but covering Bill Cosby felt great for a moment. Thanks Emily @leafthecity #igdc #makeyourmap #igdcmap
